The short courses listed below are offered by BICU. Applicants need to be literate at the grade 6 level in order to qualify to do these courses. Each course may last from a few hours to fifteen (15) hours over a two/three weeks period and values one (1) credit hour. A registration and processing fee of $65.00 is required in addition to the charge for each course (variable, depending on the level at which the course is offered).

Greek Grammar for Lay Leaders
An introductory course that enables the student to be conversant with the basic principles of NT Greek. The student will be able to read the Greek NT, as a foundation for translating it.

This course focuses on scribal practices and the manuscript history of the Bible. It demonstrates that because of the work of scribes the text of scripture has always been a living text, whose initial formation is very illusive.
Outlines the basic principles of Biblical interpretation. Enables the student to become aware of the historical, cultural, linguistical and philosophical factors within which the Bible was written, so that, what the scriptures meant can be first be established as a foundation for what it means today.
